Let’s think about the new abortion- ultrasound bill that passed in the state house this week. It’s passing is being seen as a victory by pro-life supporters. What does this bill really do? Nothing! The bill states that a doctor has to give a woman the option of seeing her baby’s ultrasound before she goes through with the abortion. This is like asking a man who is facing a firing squad if he would like a smoke or a blindfold. The outcome is going to be the same. Now if the bill made viewing the ultrasound mandatory, maybe it would make a differnce. I am sure the bill had stronger language in it at some point until it got watered down to the strength of an I.O.U. written on the back of a Wal-Mart receipt. Come on guy’s if you are going to do something do it right.
