America’s beer could fall to the Europeans! InBev which is a Belgian owned beer giant that owns brands such as Beck’s, Stella Artois, and Leffe made a 46 billion dollar bid to take over the Anheuser-Busch company on Thursday. We are afraid this is going to be a common trend in the near future with the dollar down and the euro at an all time high. With it being an election year and jobs and the economy on everyone’s mind, the American people will not loose there favorite beer company without a fight. There is already a petition with over 30,000 signatures on it to stop the sale. Local politicians are already putting pressure on the company not to sell because of the negative economic impact it would have on the community not to mention the loss of jobs. InBev is known for running a tight ship and would most likely cut jobs at all of the U.S. plants.
We could not imagine a world with out American brewed Budweiser products; we are tearing up over the thought.

budweiser is an american icon, it would be a shame to loose such a historic company. if the sale does happen, i will have to give up my bud light.
